Javier Zanetti assaulted in Argentina

The Argentinian press announced that Javier Zanetti has been assaulted in Buenos Aires.

According to the Argentinian press, Javier Zanetti, who has recently retired and was appointed as the vice-president of Inter Milan, was assaulted in Banfield, in the suburbs of Buenos Aires.

The former player, who holds the record of capes with the Argentinian National team (145), was accompanied by his father when armed men forced them to leave their vehicle , the vehicle has not yet been recovered by the police forces.

Javier Zanetti played most of his carrer with Inter Milan , where he joined them in 1995 , played 858 games and scored 21 goals , it i worth mentioning that Zanetti played with 33 matches with CA Talleres in 1992 ,and 2 seasons with CA Banfield , where he played 66 goals, before joining Inter Milan for the rest of his career.

Zanetti had already won the Serie A (Italien league) 5 time in : 2005–06, 2006–07, 2007–08, 2008–09, 2009–10 , the Italien Cup 4 times in 2004–05, 2005–06, 2009–10, 2010–11 , the UEFA Cup in 1997 , as well as the Champions League and club World Cup in 2010.

At the National level , Javier had won the Pan American Games in 1995 , finished 2nd in Copa America in 2004 & 2007 , FIFA Confederations Cup 1995&2005 , as well as the Olympic Games in 1996.
