Antonio Conte leaves Juventus. After three amazing seasons, the "Old Lady" coach has resigned on Tuesday.

Antonio Conte is no longer the coach of Juventus. After three years felt with success (three scudetto won), the Turino club announced that the Italian coach has resigned on Tuesday. The "Gazzetta dello Sport" announced that the favorites to take his place on the bench of the Old Lady are Massimiliano Allegri and Roberto Mancini. As to Conte, he could succeed Cesare Prandelli to head the Italian national team selection.

To explain the reasons for this departure, the Italian press spoke of disagreements between Conte and the Turin leaders concerning the recruitment, the coach having emphasized the need to considerably strengthen the team. On May 11 , immediately after their victory over their rivals, AS Rome (1-0), he had expressed his own taste of elsewhere if he was not insured about the strengthening of his team for the next season.

Conte had recently refused to extend his contract despite a lucrative offer from Juventus. Although he had 3 great seasons where he brought Juventus back to their glory by winning 3 consecutive Scudetto.

Conte stated on Juventus' official youtube channel saying: " I must inform you that the contract between myself and Juventus which bound us for this year , has been rescinded by mutual consent. it' been a while that i've been developing my thoughts and feeling that have brought me this decision"

he added "let's say that winning is always tough and takes a lot of effort no matter where you are , inevitably when you're at a club as prestigious as Juventus, which boasts such an illustrious winning tradition , there is an obligation to win , and that can be tougher than elsewhere, However ,we have proven that winners find it easier to deal with the effort and the pressure that comes with success

The Former Juventus player finished his statement by thanking the Bianconeri fans , saying : "i'd like to reiterate what they already know, i send them my heartfelt thanks for everything they have given me over the years . they always stuck by me , both during my three years as the coach and my time here as a player, they always showed me their love , and for that i thank them immensely , We should be proud of what we have achieved in these three years together"
