UEFA allows to Curtois to participate against Chelsea

The Union of European Football Associations gave the Green Light to the Belgian goalkeeper Tibu Curtois to participate against Chelsea.

The Union of European Football Associations "UEFA" confirmed that Atletico Madrid Belgian goalkeeper, Tibu Courtois, could face the English Chelsea at the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.

It is worth mentioning that Curtois is on loan from Chelsea to Atletico Madrid, and that his contract includes a term that prevents the goalkeeper from facing his original club, and that Atletico Madrid will have to pay an amount of $3 million per match if they wanted to play with Curtois against Chelsea.

But the European Union issued officially a statement today to this issue in which he said: "The laws of the European Champions League and the European Union prevent any club from influencing or any attempt to influence on another clubs".

UEFA added: "any club that try to exercise influence of this kind will face a penalty from the European Union".
