Diego Simeone complimented the performance of his players after a historical qualification to the European Champions League semi-finals against barcelona.
The Argentine coach Diego Simeone Atletico Madrid's coach expressed his gratitude to the performance of his players after winning to Barcelona at the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final .
Simeone said "We had a great performance, especially in the beginning, we have scored a goal and missed two open chances, and then we controlled the game until the end."
In response to a question whether he expected to reach this level , as he is currently La Liga leader , and that he qualified to the Champions League semi-final , Simeone said :"I respect Barcelona a lot, but I always expect the best , my team plays in the competition therefore we believe in our capabilities to achieve victory"
Simeone refused to comment on any expected match in European competition, saying: "We think in Getafe match in the league, not the expectations of the Champions League, so let's wait for the draw".
